I hate being short.?

Ok.

My mom is 5'5 and my dad is 5'8 or 5'9 i think.

I'm 14 and i'm 5 foot.

I went to the doctor yesterday, and she said she thinks that i am going to stop growing.

I was like "5 foot?! Are you kidding me?!"

Ugh, do any of y'all think i'm going to get any taller.

Or is her estimate "correct"

Seriously answers please.

I am very concerned!

  1. When I was 14 the doctor also told me she thought I was going to stop growing. I have since grown a couple more inches. The doctor can only tell you about what time you will stop growing, she can't tell you the exact moment. You may still have a couple inches or even a growth spurt in you! Hope this helped!

  3. I think you'll grow a few centimeters or inches more. My mom is 5'2 and my dad is 5'8...my height is 5'6. When I was 14, I'm as tall as you are. You'll have 4 more years to grow (hopefully). They said that women stop growing at the age of 18.

    If not, don't be conscious with your height. You're not the only one out there who's short. My cousin is only 4'10 and she's 21 already. Just be confident and try to wear clothes that will make you taller. It's not all about height, it's all about what you can do.

  4. well, height is genetic, and since there is nothing you can do to change that, you might as well stop fretting over something you have no control over. short is fine, too.

  5. I'm sorry, but your doctor usually makes the most accurate predictions. People around the world seem to want something to make themselves taller. But, you have to take it like it is. A miracle could happen.

    Im 15 and im 5" as well! But my parents aree both short so i have no chance of getting taller.

  8. Who knows but girls do tend to stop growing around that age. That's when I stopped. You need to learn to accept yourself for who you are!

  9. Your height potential was already decided at conception. There is nothing you can do to alter this. I am 5ft, I didn't like being short at first, kept thinking i'd grow more (my parents are tall) not sure what happened with regards to me! but I soon got over the whole being short things, specially when one puts things into perspective (other people have worse issues)

They cannot always predict correctly.  I have family and friends who were told they were done growing, then went to college and grew 5 inches.  However, at 5'11", I always hated being tall and wanted to be short.  I've learned to embrace it and you will too.  There are positives and negatives to being tall and short.  But, as a 5'11" woman, I can tell you, the tall guys tend to go for shorter girls!  I have only had one relationship with a man who is taller than me.  So best of luck growing and enjoy being the cute one!  ;)

  13. 5 foot is short but i guess you just have to accept the fact that you are not going to grow anymore...my friend is 20 and she is 4"9 they call her shorty but she likes it, it matches her..you should be happy with the way you are anyway

Since you are growing taller, both your muscles and bones are getting bigger and longer. Don't waste your money or your health on drugs, alcohol or cigarettes.

    Have the hair style that makes you appear taller. In order to appear taller, a hair style should be thin at the sides and higher up top, which can make you appear as much as an inch taller Avoid clothes with horizontal lines. Belts are horizontal so make sure you conceal it in your clothes.

    Keep your hands and feet warm. Scientific studies have shown that warm hands and feet will help induce REM (rapid eye movement) deep sleep. Cold hands and feet will keep you from deep sleep.

    Drink a big glass of water before going to bed and when you wake up; this will help clean out your system.

    Practice total relaxation and deep breathing for a few minutes before you go to bed.

    Relax from head to toe. Close your eyes and relax every part of your body.

    Maintain a habit of sleeping at the same time everyday, including weekends.

    Sleep on your back with a flat pillow under your knees. This will align your spine properly and prevent any back aches caused by sleeping in a bent position.

    Undoubtedly, the quality, quantity, and type of food we eat affect our height, growth, and health. We cannot emphasize enough how important your food intake is in determining how much growth you can possibly obtain. The types of food you eat will either improve or decrease your growth potential.

    After careful consideration and research, the daily content of protein, carbohydrates, fats and water can be achieved if the following items were taken regularly.

    Egg Yolk Beef Red Meat

    Milk Cheese Apples

    Green Vegetables Potatoes Nuts

    If you eat a lot of peanut butter, your height will not necessarily stop. Neither does masturbation stop height.

God made you just the way He wanted,so eat healthy,exercise and LOVE YOURSELF.Small is great.I'm 5'2 and 51 trs old.I still look younger than my friends that are younger.thats a true but good benifit of being short.you age very gracefully.who knows you may grow another inch or two.but enjoy YOU,J
