I can't stand eggs. I can eat like 5 bites if its a really, really good omelet. But I need to be able to eat them b/c they are fast, cheap, easy to cook, and full of what I need in my body!!

Any suggestions? What can I add/how can I cook them, so that I don't taste a lot of egg??

  1. i love them hard boiled or scrambled

  2. egs can b made SO many ways, and they all taste different, try em all

  3. I always love egg salad or cutting up a hard boiled egg and adding it to a salad. try it in a sandwich with maybe hashbrowns and bacon or ham or just adding onions, peppers, or basically anything when you fry them. they are really good for you too!

a lot of cholesterol but still a lot of good in them

  4. cook an egg and then slice it up and put it in a salad and you wont taste it but you still get the egg or mix it in with something else.

  5. I only like eggs when I scramble them in the bowl first real good. Spray non stick spray or whatever your choice heat pan pour egg mix into pan. Cook the eggs, but i like to keep stirring them so they dont get patches of just white. Like them real yellow and fluffy. Anyhoo i add a little ketchup some people hate it some love it.

  6. Cook in butter for sure.  Mix them well so no whites show.  Put cheese and your favorite "other foods" in them.  Eat with toast.  When I was younger I hated them too.  But that was because they used to cook them after they make bacon or sausage in the same pan with that grease YUCKnastybarf.  Now I use egglands best eggs, yes they make a difference, no funny taste.  Use cheese and cook in butter or margarine.

  7. Use it in the recipe that is not just eggs-- how about some tasty crepes??

    try this:

    Easy Crepes

    1 cup milk

    1/2 cup flour

    3 eggs

Mix all ingredients together until well blended. Pour 1/3 cup of batter onto lightly greased frying pan. Tilt pan to spread evenly. Flip over to cook other side. Remove from pan. Fill as desired.

    --------------

    fill them with:

grated and slighly in water cooked apples (with some sugar + cinamon). Add chopped walnuts. Put the filling in the crepes, roll them. In a pan melt some dark chocolate and ppure it over the crepes

    Crepes

    Yield: 17 to 22 crepes

    2 large eggs

    3/4 cup milk

    1/2 cup water

    1 cup flour

    3 tablespoons melted butter

    Butter, for coating the pan

In a blender, combine all of the ingredients and pulse for 10 seconds. Place the crepe batter in the refrigerator for 1 hour. This allows the bubbles to subside so the crepes will be less likely to tear during cooking. The batter will keep for up to 48 hours.

Heat a small non-stick pan. Add butter to coat. Pour 1 ounce of batter into the center of the pan and swirl to spread evenly. Cook for 30 seconds and flip. Cook for another 10 seconds and remove to the cutting board. Lay them out flat so they can cool. Continue until all batter is gone. After they have cooled you can stack them and store in sealable plastic bags in the refrigerator for several days or in the freezer for up to two months. When using frozen crepes, thaw on a rack before gently peeling apart.

*Savory Variation Add 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs, spinach or sun-dried tomatoes to the egg mixture.

*Sweet Variation Add 21/2 tablespoons sugar, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons of your favorite liqueur to the egg mixture.

Crepes Stuffed with Fresh Fruit, Maple Syrup, and Creme Anglaise

    Yield: 4 servings

    Crepes:

    2 eggs

    2 teaspoons milk

    1 tablespoon flour

    1 teaspoon sugar

    Butter

    Creme anglaise or custard:

    3/4 cup milk

    1/2 cup heavy cream

    1 vanilla bean, split

    4 1/2 tablespoons sugar

    4 egg yolks

    4 cups sliced fruit

    Maple syrup

Crepes: Combine eggs, milk, and sugar. Add the flour and whisk well. Refrigerate for one hour. Rub a skillet with butter. Add enough batter to coat the bottom of the pan. Swirl pan to coat evenly. Turn crepe and cook until lightly golden brown. Repeat with remaining batter.

Custard: Put the milk, cream, and vanilla bean into the saucepan and heat until almost boiling. Add the sugar to the yolks and whip well. Pour the hot milk onto the beaten yolks and cook until the mixture reaches 185 degrees F. Remove from heat and let cool completely. Cover and refrigerate the custard until ready to serve.

Spread cut fresh fruit over each crepe and sprinkle with maple syrup. Fold the crepe. Cover the plate with some custard and put one or two pancakes on it. Garnish with fresh fruit.

Bisquick has an easy recipe and just roll them up, top with warmed jam and whipped cream.

  8. Find something else that's fast, cheap, and easy to cook.  You can get firm tofu, freeze it, defrost, press, and make a tofu scramble.  Almost all the vegetarian cookbooks I've come across have recipes for scrambles, but it involves turmeric, seasonings, and vegetables.  And unlike eggs, tofu doesn't have saturated fat or cholesterol.

My local Whole Foods has store brand tofu for $1.49 and name brands for less than $2.00 a package.  Trader Joe's has store brand tofu for about the same.

You really don't need eggs.  There's nothing they have that you can't get from other sources.

  9. I hate eggs too.  I have to eat them now and then because the kids are eating them.

    Cavanders Greek Seasoning is great!

if you are doing scrambled add a pinch of garlic powder to the eggs before you beat them.  it adds a bit of taste to them.

For over easy/well/fried eggs add a bit of salt to the tops as you cook them. ( I still can not eat more then a few bites and then get yucky egg-burps)

But the only way I can eat more then a few bites is to make scrambled eggs and mix them with hash browns and ketchup.

Anything you can mix the eggs into will help.  I have no problem eating eggs in fried rice, with hash browns, or in meatloaf, but plain I' eggs, i can't stand either.

  10. Well, first of all, did you know that if you plug your nose you can't really taste what you're eating. It works most of the time, but sometimes it doesn't. So...if you like salsa or tobasco sauce those are really good things to put on your eggs, scrambled or in an omlet. Or if you are eating scrambled or sunny-side-up eggs then you can have toast with it and scoop up the eggs with the toast, which sort of degrades the eggy taste. OOOO or my personal favorite, you could sprinkle a LITTLE bit of salt on your eggs. I do that ALL the time, it is soooo good!! Good luck!! :D

  11. Why would you bother eating eggs if you hate them that much?!

Your body doesn't just need eggs, try other healthy foods!

  12. I also like eggs cuz they are fast, easy and cheap, but I also enjoy them. You could try making french toast with them.

Add some scrambled eggs into oatmeal (not the packet ones) with some brown sugar and cinnamon.

When I was younger I used to sprinkle in a little sugar with my scrambled eggs, or scramble them up and drizzle with a little syrup or honey.

Make a scramble boil some potatoes, and drain. Keep these in the fridge. Cook up some frozen-then thawed broccoli, onions, and the potatoes. Crack an egg over the top and cook until the egg is done. Sprinkle with a little cheese.

  13. I hate them too.

Add some bacon then you'll love 'em

  14. I get out the frying pan, heat it up,  crack an egg straight in there, pop the youlk, cook one side, flip it. FLip a few times until cooked through. I like  thiem sort of well done. in  the  meantime, make two slices of toast and some canadian bacon or just a slice of ham. stick the egg pattie you just  made on the toast (buttered if you like) and put the ham on top of the egg. Put the other slice of toast on top and youve got the perfect sandwich! Its good with a slice of cheese as well to reduce egg taste. It takes no more than 7 minutes.

  15. Do you like crepes?

Think of the possibilities for filling!  There's sweet ones, filled with fruit - just sliced bananas and a little peanut butter, or any summer fruit like peaches, nectarines, plums, apricots!

There are savory ones.  How about tuna with a little dressing, or some shredded leftover chicken and some salsa, or avocado sprinkled with lemon juice and minced garlic and a little crab meat?  Mushrooms sauteed in a little butter and garlic and a little cheese sprinkled on make a nice filling.  Some people (in my family) like pizza crepes.  Just spread some spaghetti sauce on your crepe top with your favorite pizza items like a few pepperoni slices or diced ham or bacon, and then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese while still hot.

Here's a speedy quick recipe.  If you prefer, make the batter up ahead in a quart jar with a lid, and store in the refrigerator for up to three days.

    1 cup of milk

    3 eggs

    1/2 cup of flour

    Pinch of salt

(for sweet ones you can add a 1/2 tsp. of vanilla)

Directions:   Mix all ingredients together until well blended. Pour 1/3 cup of batter onto lightly greased frying pan. Tilt pan to spread evenly. Flip over to cook other side. Remove from pan. Fill as desired.

Crepes are quick, can vary tremendously as sweet, spicy, or gentle and savory, and contain lots of egg protein and minerals.  They're quickly cooked and even more quickly devoured.  Try them!

  16. make a cake =D lol just kidding

making a quishe with strong flavoring or something

  17. Put cavendars greek seasoning on them it makes everything so yuM!

  18. Make a flan. It's delicious. You don't even know your eating eggs for he carmelized sugar on top! Make a nice flan on a sunday and you've got a great kickstart to your day for most of the week!

  19. Scramble your eggs with your favorite canned soup.

Example: If you like cream of broccoli, scramble your eggs, before they start to get hard add concentrated cream of broccoli soup. Let it come to a boil. The soup will smother the eggs.

While hot, top it with shredded mozzarella cheese.

I don't really know what you like to eat. On the other extreme, I will use canned hot chili in place of cream of broccoli and top it with chopped scallions, cilantro, and even some fresh chopped Serrano. The heat and spices will make you forget you are eating eggs.

  20. meat,cheese, your favorite veggies.
