LOL yeah Elmo kinda freaks me out, too. Not as much as Barney though. lol A friend of mine has two daughters, ages 2 1/2 and 11 months, and her older daughter received one of those dancing Elmos for her first birthday...her daughter just sat staring wide-eyed at the crazy thing and refused to pick it up and play with it...they ended up getting rid of the dumb thing. I mean, you can't really "play" with the dancing doll...you just sit and watch it move around and do whatever it's computerized to do...it's silly to even call it a toy. It's an entertainment doll....but it did nothing to "entertain" my friend's kid...LOL, it just freaked her out. So join the club. :)

first try to buy an elmo toy since your scared you could have some body else buy  one then put him on your floor(try gettin one of those elmos that dance) then when he starts talkin or dancin start beating the h**l out of him. or blow him up

Ummm. that happened to me when I was a kid. So what i did it's imagine people are dressing him up like a model, or sometimes even fall off a building! Hahaha.. that gave me a laugh once in a while! From there and on, i thought Elmo was dumb!

seriously, it will help you get habituated to seeing elmo. the more you see the doll and interact positively with the doll, the less scared of him you will be.
