I hate glasses because they are very uncomfortable but should I really switch to contacts??

I'm 11 so is it safe for me to wear contacts?

and I really want to change my eye color too, so any ideas?

At your age i dont think its suitable to wear contact lenses.

Your safer wearing glasses for a while until your a bit older.

I am sure you could wear contacts at your age, it depends how much you want to switch. Personally I like my contacts a lot more because I hate wearing glasses and when the dr said I would have to wear glasses all the time that is when I switched and I have been very happy with the switch.

I would stay with glasses. my contacts bug me. and one is always falling out.

i've worn contacts sense i was in 5th grade (now I'm in 12th)

now my vision has gotten slightly worse (can be corrected by contacts still)

but i do not recommend color contacts for long term use

if one falls out and you lose it you have to take the other one our of find a replacement or just look strange

its just to much hassle in my opinion

I would suggest asking your doctor about them.  As long as you are mature and responsible enough to handle them and care for them properly, they are safe.  Yes, your eyes will grow and change as you grow, but you can order a six-month supply of contacts, so I don't see why that would be a problem.  Many teenagers have contacts and their eyes are still growing.  I would see how you do with regular contacts before you try the color ones.  Some people find them more uncomfortable than regular contacts and some people really enjoy them.

well if you hate glasses that's one reason to switch. and if you think you're too young just ask your eye doctor, he/she will be able to help you. but I'm pretty sure you re not too young because my friend got them when she was 12 and she was fine. i just got contacts this year, and my doctor gave me time to try them out first to see if i liked them, before i bought a full prescription, so try them out, and if you like them, then have with changing color! well im 12 and i wear glasses on and off then i wear contacts on and off. but its good to wear glasses too. but contacts are totally a good idea. hopes this helps. write back and be my friend.

Well i've asked my optician about contacts (cause i'm 14 and i wear glasses) but he said that i have to wait until i stop growing (because when i grow my eyes grow and they get worse) and it would cost a fortune because i get new glasses every 6 months. But i would wait and ask your optician before you come to any conclusions.

Don't change your eye colour it doesn't look natural (because your pupils won't dialate) and anyone that's known you for ages will notice your eye colour changed over night!
