I hate my dad so much and he acts like nothings wrong.

Question

i hate my dad for being an alcoholic and for neglecting me and now hes recovering and he thinks everything should be fine when its not.

i hate him so much i feel like im gonna cry whenever im around him

my mom and him are getting a divorce but he wont move out and he said he would.

what can i do? he is psycotic and my mom is afraid he might hurt me if i make him upset so i cant tell him to leave me alone or anything.

My great grandpa was an alcholic and my grandma always tells us stories of how she hated him, only diffence with him and your dad is that he's making an attempt to change his ways. Detoxing of the body is somthing hard, and its a real struggle. Send him to alcohol rehab he needs professional help. Be safe, and be strong. God is with you.

It is up to your mom to protect you. If she realizes that you are at risk it is up to her to have a restraining order put on him so he will have to get out of your house. Call child protective services and let them know what's going on.

i would call the police station and ask if they have a phone number to someone who can help with domestic situations. there should be an agency that can provide advice, help and a safe solution to your problem. in my hometown the police department has an office in the station and non- police people/civilians who volunteer to help people who are in your situation. you should not have to live in fear! he ought to move out until he can resolve his issues. his problems aren't yours! or your mothers for that matter but less you just do not deserve this lifestyle! if you decide you want the help the police will have him removed and the state can make an order to keep him away until he finishes "the program" and or until he gets counseling. maybe family counseling would be beneficial for all of you rather your parents stay together or not. gd lk
