I hate my high school cuz there's no diversity?

I was thinking about transferring high schools cuz I hate my current school. There's no diversity at all, and 95% of the school is white but there are other high schools within a 10 mile distance that has more diversity. but unfortunately my parents won't let me. i'm going to become a junior and i only have like a few friends here (others are at my church and new york) and it's pissin me off. no diversity means a lot of the kids here are ignorant when knowing about other races.

Do not be so tough with your school.

While you may believe that it is trendy to be in a school that has racial diversity, actually it can be a positive when you study ... all of you will be wanting the same thing ... succeeding in studies.

The other races you may meet at school may not know more than you about their own culture !!!

(i am always amazed to hear what people say about africa or latin america without having been their !!! so much illusion/fantasy )

Once you achieved nice diplomas and ...

takes some years and go and travel. Like this you will realy know about other cultures. And this is so great ... i agree with you.

I personaly am a racial melange (half swiss half mexican), am 43 yrs old and traveled quite a lot around the world on a shoostring ... i had many adventures ... lived with many people (asia, africa, south america) ... and started a serious/family oriented life being 30 years old. With no regret. Even at 40 i went to build a firm in africa ... i came back to Switzerland 1 year ago.

But of course you are young and want everything NOW!!!
