My spanish 2 teacher thinks she's so great but doesn't like me for some reason. I am a straight-A student. I missed a class period because I was in another country with our school's marching band, and there was a quiz. Then there happened to be a test on the next class because I was so exhausted from the trip. (we got back really late because we had to drive.) Now she's saying that I should have told her sooner blah blah blah like I am so stupid. "You would have had that privilege if you had been in class...if you had told me in advance." It sounds reasonable but you should have seen the way she looked at me with her bulgy green eyes. UGH. I will be so glad to leave her class. One month... OMG can't wait....So what should I do until then? I can't skip- straight As, remember?

  1. Be pleasant, and keep saying over and over to yourself, "Only one more month!"  Believe me, this will not be the last time in your life you have to deal regularly with someone you can't stand.  You just learn how to avoid them when possible, and for the rest, keep a low profile so that they don't have a target to shoot for in you.

  2. Just grin and bear it.  You probably should have let her know you'd be going with the band.  Anyway school is almost over so just do your best to get through it. Good luck!  Good job on the "A"s!

  3. The best thing that you can do is talk to her calmly and explain your feelings.  You will need to swallow some pride, but that is how the real world works.  If this does not help or she seems do condescending, you can go to your guidance counselor and explain the situation.  I had to do the same with a French teacher in High School.  As long as you stay level headed it will all work out.

  4. You have two choices change teacher or suck it up and continue the class.

  5. Suck it up and deal.  Even if she's a witch, that's life.  Real life includes working with or under people who are mean, stupid, etc.  Your ultimate success will depend on how well you can work anyway.

  6. If i were you, i would just appologise (even if you dont mean it at all)... act like "you're truly sorry for your actions, and you will try to improve in the future. Like totally kiss up to her, it's not forever, and she might even turn to like you as a student or something along those lines. ... Hope it all works out.

  7. You have a lot of good ans. already.

In the real world employers don't care if you got all "A's"  It's

what you know that counts.  Don't let that dim-wit spoil any moor days for you.  Be nice and move on.
