I hate school?

Question

so i hate my school with the biggest passion

and i wanna be home schooled

i mean, the people at my school are so frekin annoying

but i do have friends there and all

but im tired of hearing drama and about all these school shootings

but if im home schooled

my parents could cut down on gas and it would be alot safer

and its like the same thing as me going to a regular school

i have a friend who is homeschooled and she said i could just buy the books and i could be home schooled with her

i really wanna be home schooled

tell me what you think, please?

Have you talked to your mum and dad about this? That's where you need to go next.

I'm 15, one of several siblings who have been home educated all our lives; we are neither anti-social nor unsocial nor Christian (or affiliated with any other religion come to that).

Oh and it makes me laugh when people say you need to go to school to learn how to handle society, I've spent my whole life growing up in the midst of society (and not in the midst of school!)...and I have never, ever heard anyone carrying on, out here in the real world, in the way I've heard conventionally-schooled kids carry on when they are surrounded by other conventionally-schooled kids.

:) I'm homeschooled and I love it! People think that homeschoolers are unsocial but we aren't, just cuz we don't spend time with the people our age all day does not make us unsocial. I know how to deal with people from all ages! I have volenteered at our nursing home for years so I spent a lot of time with elderly people that I love. I have a homeschooling group that meets every friday so I could spend time with people my own age. I can carry on a convorsation with someone who is twice my age and not be nervous cuz I spend time with people from all ages. I'm part of my church and am very active in it. So I say go for it!! But it can be a lot of work, I spend a lot of time teaching myself things, but don't let that stop you. Go for it!!!

Depends on what you think would be better really, try it out for a bit if you can. Just remember that it's going to be a secluded life, with no daily access to school friends outside of actually contacting them yourself. As when moving between any two schools, if you have a Home School Center that you might have to take a few courses in, you will meet new people. In the end, think about your education, it's the most important factor, without it school is completely worthless...

Homeschooling is just putting off learning how to deal with society. You need to be with all kinds of people to learn how to get along successfully in life. If you don't like certain people, then don't volunteer to spend your free time with them. There is drama everywhere in life. You will lose a great deal of social skills by shutting yourself away for reasons like you have listed. Be part of the solution, not the problem. Volunteer to do charity work and leave those "others"  behind you! They really are not worth it.

I've been home schooled all my life. It's worked good for me. People always think homeschoolers are sheltered Christianity obsessed people. That's so not true! Go for it! I love it!

I have the same problem, and have talked to my mom about it. She's gonna let me try it out for the remainder of this school year, and if I don't like it I can just go back next year.

So just sit down with her and talk about it, it might be the perfect option for you.

I so can relate to you! I am a senior thank god, i still though never want to go to school. Its so lame just dealing with all the c**p.

i think if you really cant get through school, which is the case for some ppl get home schooled like you mentioned. For some ppl school is not there thing for many different reasons. also it will be cool to be home schooled with ur friend by ur side.

My household homeschools. It is a great way to get ahead in your studies while also learning how to take control of your own social life as adults do. The real world does not have the kind of perpetual daily drama of high school. If it did, why would people say, "That B.S. is so high school." when people dare to show that kind of ridiculous behavior as adults?

Just talk to your mom about, I've been home schooled almost my whole life, it's more work then public school and much more costly if you do an on-line thing. People who say home school kids can't deal with the out side world are just stupid. I get along fine with all ages not just people my age. Don't think homeschooling is a easyer choice school wise, the only differince is you don't have to deal with rude crapie kids at school, you'll just see them at the mall moives ect...don't run from your problems tho...
