We met in the seventh grade, five years ago. I do something and she does it, I will tell you a few examples:

1- When we got to middle school she didn't even listen to rock, now she's always trying to look at my iPod to see what I'm listening to to copy it.

2. I don't think she had EVER known Converse existed (Yeah, incredible, I know) but I bought a pair and she became obsessed to the point that if her mom wouldn't get her the d**n shoes she'd get mad at her.

3. In the ninth grade I got red highlights, (She had never even talked about dying her hair) and the next thing I know she got red highlights.

4. I am currently in love with shirts with neon stuff on them, and guess what? Now she wants to go to the store with me to get some.

5. Summer 2007 I got an industrial bar, like two weeks later she obsessed over getting like 4 cartilage piercings (Good thing her mom won't let her).

6. After I got some fingerless gloves, yeah she just HAD to get them.

7. I told her I got a sidebang (I haven't really left it hanging yet) now she wants one, I think she hasn't gotten it yet because I haven't really used it that much?

8. There are many, many more situations like that... It's really annoying. I have told her to stop copying me but she says she's not (yeah it's such big coincidence she always gets the same stuff I get AFTER I get them). You know, she's like my BFF, but it's gotta stop! What can I do? My mom says she "looks up to me" and I'm like -_- riiiiiight. Or.... do you think it's me and I'm over reacting.... everybody hates that, my sister has a friend like that.

  1. They say imitation is the best compliment. Don't let it bother you so much.  You obviously have much more confidence than she does.  Maybe you could make some suggestions to her that would look good on her to make her a little more individual.  She obviously values your opinion.

  2. be flattered she wants to be like you, although she sounds like a million other girls i've met. i make my own style, others should too, right?

  3. Tell her to stop copying you otherwise you won't be her friend anymore. And if she keeps contacting you, Just tell her to get a life of your own!
