I hate the new my yahoo...?

This sucks, Yahoo isn't any better than microsoft. The original my yahoo is closing in about 7 days and just like MS is trying to force everyone to use vista now Yahoo is trying to force the new my yahoo.

Why can't we just use what we want and like instead of being forced to use something we don't like? I guess I'll just use something else as my start page.

If every one who doesn't like the new My Yahoo and doesn't appreciate being treated like cattle logged off their customized page the first day the new version launches maybe someone might get the message.  The absence of the choice to stay behind is so arbitrary it's contemptible.

I agree 100%.  I will discontinue using myyahoo.

They are going downhill fast.  In 5 more years people will say: yahoo?  What is Yahoo?

Does anyone have a good alternative news portal that I can use instead of myyahoo?

I tried Google News, but thier layout is worse than the new Myyahoo.

check out firefox -- it loads everything a heck of a lot faster

What I don't get is why they are forcing the newer version on us.  If the mail can have Mail Classic and All New Mail (beta) then why can't they allow a My Yahoo! Classic and an All New My Yahoo!.  Give us a choice please.

The answer is simple economics.  They had to spend a lot of money on this pointless update, so now they have to justify it by uping the number of users.  They could not get enough to voluntarily switch, so they need to push everyone to do it.  

I just wish that would get rid of that personal assistant.  It is so useless.

Yes there must be a way to force the maggots to let us keep the old style. The new look & set-up is a piece of c**p!!
