what does EMO stand for? What does it mean? I know it has to do something with being emotional depressed?? is that right.

Emo= emotional.

Emo describes the people who are apparently "overly emotional" and display this with skinny jeans, black side swept bangs, and colorful clothes (to be stereotypical).

Emo people also like emotional songs, think of bands like MCR.

I personally like MCR...so I guess I'm emo?

Emo is emotive. It's a style of fashion, music and life, some common(and sometimes true) stereotypes are skinny jeans, greasy hair, unenthusiastic and depressing attitude, dark/tight clothing, sensitive and emotional, listens to emotional bands etc. etc.

I personally think it's more of an attitude toward the world/society/life, not necessarily marked by the stereotypes above.

Emo doesn't stand for anything. It's just a fad/style that means you wear dark clothing, wear dark hair and dark make-up and listen to My Chemical Romance. It's like goth, but a little lighter...

Emo-tional.  It's about the equivalent as Gothics (aka Goth) from the 90's, but if gives guys more of a reason to look like 12 year old girls.
