  1. cats get spooked real easy....most dont travel well

    they might run away

I would not risk taking them

  2. I'm sure they will be fine as long as they do their business and they get some breathe from the Air Conditioner.

  3. It depends on the kitty in question. Some like riding, but others do not.

I've left my cats at home over the weekend many times with extra food and water, and it hasn't harmed them any.

  4. Yes...you may want to get some valium at the vets unless your cats are used to traveling. However, cats will be fine on their own for a couple days with food, water and a clean cat box.

    Good luck..

  5. They will be fine if you leave them home, just leave them enough food and water and clean the litter box before you leave. Also leave the air conditioner on, and you could possibly leave the tv on too if you don't mind, it will give them noise and have a calming effect on them.

  6. It depends on the animal. I had an older cat that would get very sick in the car. But my kitten simply lays down in her cat carrier and sleeps. Try taking the animal on a short trip and see how they act. Good luck :)

  7. wellllll.....it actually depends on how much u care 4 ur best pal ( ur cat ofcourse )......& my cat kind of enjoyed travellin with me the last time we went to Bangalore......

  8. They would do better if you left them at home with plenty of food and water

  9. AS long as they have water and cat carriers. But they probably won't like it.

  10. I have done this several times but one of my cats gets car sick.  They adapted very well once we got there and seemed like they were ok.  There is nothing like coming home after a long day at work and when your cat rubs up against your leg.  Kinda takes all the stress away.

  11. Well I have never had a cat that likes a car ride.  But my question is how will it be once you get to  your son's house? It might be a little scary being in a different environment. Cats are different than dogs it seems. I would just leave them where they are the happiest, home.

  12. I take my cat and dogs with me when i go to my moms.  But i've done this since he was a kitten... So its just like his other house to him. It would depend how old your cats are, as older cats usually don't do well with change. Also would have to get along with any pets that live there.  Can't hurt to try.

  13. If you are only going for two days, I would leave them home.  Depending on how many cats you have, set up a few clean litter boxes, a large pan of cat food (hopefully they eat dry) and numerous pans of water. They would be better off in their familiar home, than trying to adjust to a new house for only a few days. If they will only eat canned cat food, ask a friend or neighbor to check in on them once or twice a day. They can also check for clean water and tidy the litter boxes.  It wouldn't hurt to have someone check up on them no matter what they eat.  They will be fine.
