Question:

I hate trying to figure out a name... blah!?

I thought I had my mind made up, but now I'm rethinking the name thing over and over.

I'm having a baby girl in a few weeks, and I need to chose a name.

Eliana Rae (E-lee-ahn-uh Ray)

Adriella Rae (Ay-dree-el-uh Ray)

Ellarae Grace (Ell-uh-ray Grace)

I have to keep the "Ray" part, it's to honor my mother, but the rest is up in the air! I don't know. Tell me honestly what you think... even if you think they are awful. I would prefer something elegant and classy, but I think these almost sound "princessy".

HELP!

  1. All these names are beautiful for the fact that you incorporated something of your mother into them.  That is my opinion...but I lean toward:

    Ellarae Grace

    But as far as suggestions

Desirae and other middle name or Desi Rae

    Lily Rae

I know about the name game, I went back and forth before I had my daughter for months! Drove my husband crazy!  But he likes Catherine Diana, which is what I liked from the beginning...and its after my mom also.

    Good luck and Congrats!

  2. Eliana Rae I like the best.  I like Alaina Rae better, not my child

  3. Eliana Ray

    Shanaray or Shanarae

  4. I love Eliana Rae. I don't really like Rae but I understand that it has meaning to you. Adriella and Ellarae sound made up and I'm not a fan. Eliana is beautiful, and you have many nickname options: Ellie, Elle, Ana, Leah, Lena, Laney, etc. Eliana definitely doesn't sound "princessy". The other ones kind of sound prissy, which goes along with "princessy". Eliana is classic and beautiful. I definitely think you should choose Eliana!

    Good luck!

  6. Adrianna Grayce

  7. Definitely Eliana. Eliana is gorgeous and classy and underused. Ellarae and Adriella are just bad. they are made-up and it is very obvious.

What about Ariella, Arielle, Anastasia, Arabella, Elodie, Eloisa, Louisa or Eliza?

  8. I really like Ellarae, but I think Ella Rae Grace is cuter or just Ella Rae.

  9. Elliana Grayce. :-)

  10. I love Eliana and Ellarae Grace the are unique and beautiful!!! And you are right they sound very princessy!! Any child would b blessed to have any of those names!I love the names!!!

  11. The only one I like is Eliana, the other too I just don't like.

  12. I LOVE Ellarae Grace!! Sooo cuute :)

  13. I also prefer Eliana to the others.

  14. I like Ellarae first, then Eliana.  I am not a fan of Adriella, it sounds one of the evil step sisters in Cinderella.

  15. I've never hear Ellerae before, but I kinda like it. What if you did Ella Rae as the first and middle name?

    I don't like Adriella at all...it does sound "princess-y."

Eliana is an OK name...it's kind of a "big" name for a little person, you know what I mean? Granted, she won't be little forever, but still. I just couldn't picture giving a baby this name.

    Good luck!

  16. You should NOT have to tell us how to pronounce these names. That sad, they're way too difficult. What about keeping it simple with Ella Rae or Emma Rae?

  17. I like the first one and the last one.

So how about this.  Let HER choose the name!!  When she comes out, take a good look at her and see if she fits one name better than the other.

Maybe she will even give you a sign...like a high-five or something...when she hears the name she likes!!  Ha!!

    Congrats and good luck!!
