Yes I have to agree with the previous answer, don't trust any one, don't part with any documents or money !!

Any publisher will not just want an idea, they will want to see at least a couple of chapters and even then there is only a very slim chance that they would actually pay you to publish, I can almost g'tee they will want money from you !!

The story you have mentioned seems good to me , just take care!

Why not try a yellow pages or Post office search, you should get a better idea.  But what ever you do, be very careful in parting with any manuscripts and money.  There are many dubious publishers out there who will charge you to just read through you work and tell you they cannot help.  Also try a search on yahoo for publishers in Ireland.
