Yes, I should think so. Switzerland is generally a visa-free country. Though I think they limit the number of days you can stay. I have a few friends who have traveled there with just their student visas. However you can simply ask the Swiss consulate to confirm. Google for their number.

No, you would have to apply for a visitors Visa to go to Switzerland. Student visa's are conditional and Switzerland isn't in the EU
