  1. Balla eat whatever you feed them and they never bother any other fish in the community. These sharks do best in small groups instead of individually but they do prefer a larger aquarium to swim in. It does not like salt in the water. Other than that, it's a pretty hardy and easy to raise fish.

Only keep one Rainbow Shark in your tank because they will not tolerate another Rainbow or Red Tail Sharks in the same tank. They may exist together for awhile, but one will end up chasing the other relentlessly until the other succumbs.

The Rainbow Shark will eat most fish food including flakes, pellets and frozen foods. They will eat algae wafers as well.

Breeding this freshwater shark is rare in the home aquarium. This is most likely because of their intolerance of each other in the small confines of the home aquarium.

You will need a good tight fitting hood with no escape points because this fish has been known to jump out of the tank.

  2. bala sharks and rainbow sharks should be fine with any regular flake fish food you find at any pet store. they really aren't picky eaters, and will even nibble at the algae of their tank if you forget to feed them one day. but yeah, just get them some regular flake food, they should be fine.

    hope that helps!
