I have had an ectopic pregnancy back in 2004.. had to have one of my tubes removed. Now that I am engaged im planning on having kids in my future. Went to the Gyno and suddenly got hit with all of this(hypothyrodism,PCOS, and no ovulation.) I am dead scared.. My Gyno put me on Thyroid Henning 50 mg and said That should solve the problem.. but how does that even deal with my PCOS.. Please someone help me.. im running out of solutions and i'm really not knowing what to do!

  1. Hugs.

What level is your thyroid?  You can very well lower it with the medication.  So one issue under control.

Yes, you can get pregnant with only one tube.  I've heard more than enough stories about it happening.  All you need is one viable egg.

Now for the PCOS, this is controlled with either Metformin alone or Metformin and Clomid.

Metformin is a larger pill than Clomid.  Clomid is tiny.  Clomid will help you ovulate as will Metformin.

Ask your doctor about it.  Make certain they know their fertility stuff!

    Baby dust!

  2. Thyroid Henning 50 mg is the hormone you are missing that makes your body  ovulate. so you are going to be able to get pregnant real soon i did after i was put on it good luck

PS. my doc told me that if you are over weight then lose as much as you can because the pill stays in fat cells in your body and the heavier you are the longer it will take good luck

  3. Very simply...no. You have to ovulate to become pregnant.   Honestly the odds are stacked against you in this case, but it could still happen once you start ovulating.  You should also talk to your doctor about a low-glycemic diet which can help insulin-resistant people lose weight...and possibly something such as Metformin to help with insulin resistance, which in turn can also help you lose weight and start ovulating.  Insulin resistance is a common problem in most women with PCOS.  Obviously since you were pregnant before, it IS possible, so just work as much as you can to get healthy, stay healthy and get pregnant!  Good luck!

  4. You certainly have some obstacles to overcome and they aren't insurmountable.  I have severe PCOS, and was able to have 3 children.  I suggest going to a RE (reproductive endocrinologist).  The hypothyroidism can be controlled with meds.

  5. i think you can still get pregnant and i heard that when you take medication to get pregnant then you get pregnant in the next 2 months....i hope you won't have an ectopic pregnancy again, god bless you.

  6. You can't get pregnant if you're not ovulating.  You'll have to see a specialist.  With all the medical issues, your body might not be able to handle a pregnancy.
