I have 10 days to go on a vacation, where should I go?!?

I'm planning on going somewhere with my dad and sister this summer. We're free July 6th-July 17th.

We want to go somewhere new, not in North America.. where should we go? Should we go on a cruise? Do a tour? HELP!!

You should got to INDIA, really India is great country for holiday spot,

I have recently returned from my India trip, really my trip was amazing and great experience for me.

Seeing the sights in much of Thailand is relatively inexpensive. Even a visit to the Grand Palace in Bangkok or Wat Po only costs a couple hundred baht admission. Excursions are more costly, and most day trips are around 1500 - 2000 Baht. e.g. seeing the Bridge over the River Kwai and the Tiger Temple, a day trip to the temples of Ayutthaya, kayaking in Krabi, elephant trekking in Khao Sok etc.

Accommodation will be around 1000 baht a day if you want a proper hotel with a swimming pool and air conditioning. You can also book rooms with http://www.discovery-thailand.com , they usually have great discounts(up to 75% off).

Airfares are cheap thanks to budget carriers like AirAsia.com and NokAir.com. One way flights to Chiang Mai and Phuket from Bangkok are around 2000 Baht including all taxes, which are usually more expensive than the flights themselves. There are also many special offers.

I'd recommend you to visit koh Phangan , it's one of most popular destinations in Thailand, and is well-known as a celebrated island that hosts the biggest beach full moon party! Superb coral reefs and underwater scenery are The great attractions of Phangan too.

Krabi is also a good choice. white beaches, emerald ponds, fascinating coral reefs, numerous large and small islands and verdant forests with caves and waterfallsand. you can enjoy a lot of marine sports such as scuba diving!! Cliff jumping in Koh Phi phi is fun, too.

Croatia (dubrovnik and split) google pics its beautiful!

Malta ( a little over-rate because of the "invasion of tourists") but nice.

Dubai, if you want to relax

Ireland, great with family lots of history

Spain, european and very unique ( Barcelona, Gibraltar {actually a piece of UK in spain, but nice} Madrid etc...

I'd like to mount a campaign to encourage people not to go anywhere. Travel has become so expensive and unpleasant that it's hard to understand why people don't stay home.

Why are we crowding our highways and airports to get someplace else? Newspapers and magazines are filled with ads trying to get us to travel. They want us to go somewhere - anywhere but home.

Cruises are always nice and less hassle because activesand entertainment are inclued in the set price(for most it would be) and you will find that you when you pay it off the cruise possible transport that you just have to have spending money for drinks and port of call actives. I am Australian and have been on a few although just around Pacific islands like Vanuatu so too far away have thoroughly enjoyed each on of them.No mater where you go have a great time and value the special time you have with your family as time and life is so precious.

A cruise is great because you have everything on the boat-pool, gambling, food, shops etc. and alot of planned activities. we went on Carnival cruise line to St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Barbados. IT WAS FUN! I want to go again! They also hae ALL_INCLUSIVE trips that includes your food and room. I heard Mexico was great. Call a travel agent and they will help you plan it and book a tour for you! HAVE FUN AND GOOD LUCK!!
