I have 10 days to prepare for a track tryout what can I do?

I have 10 days, because my mother just got the papers yesterday. I've signed up and I want to know what to do to prepare for the team.

It's Cross country track, at JR. high level. and track has been my sport

  2. 1st dont be nervous it will reck you! Also if u r nott that great start out nott .. like that far.. just round da block.. but then once you start to improve... go on bike trails or ... any where 1 mile or less

    your breathing should be in through our nose and out through your mouth .. 5 sec. each! GOOD LUCK!

  3. 10 days is plenty of time.  start off by running a mile in the morning for the first 2 days.  Then 2 miles every day until tryout.  the tryout will probably consist of of a 3 mile run and 10 100 yard sprints.

  4. To tryout for my cross country team, they make you run on the track until they tell you to stop but if you stop before they tell you to you don't make it, but thats high school level. I am trying out too, I have been running 3 miles everyday, just run the most you can everyday until the tryout, you will be ready.
