I have 1000's of cards from about 88-92 any idea which ones i should look out for to be most valuable?

You'll probably have a lot of rookie cards of players like Bonds, Griffey, Sosa, McGwire.  Most of them are probably going to turn out being fairly valuable given time.  Those are just a few but look for most of your big name guys.

Rookie cards of star players.  If you have no idea what cards are the stars then I would go buy yourself a beckett. Cards from that time period were seriously OVERproduced.  A few sets stand out like 89 UD, or 90 Leaf.

Power Pitchers and Home Run Hitters tend to carry the most value! Look for player that hit a ton of home runs and pitchers that had a ton of strikeouts over their career!
