I have 13 cats. It does get expensive to feed them better food and looking for some natural foods?

Maybe something i can cook for them even would be fine. it seems like chicken is cheaper by the pound than cat food these days, I do give them innova as dry but i need an alternative wet food that would also keep then from throwing up

You can try Innova's EVO canned.  It is one of the few foods that comes in a larger, 13 ounce can, and is pretty economical to feed that way.

They do need cat food as it has Taurine which is essential for eyesight in cats. Without it, they will go blind. Supplement with chicken that has been de-boned if you like, but not the main source of food. You can feed a less expensive food. Purina One is a good cat food in spite of what some say. This company does extensive research on cat health.

Be cautious, that you don't become a cat collector as this sneaks up on a person who tries to save so many cats and usually ends in disaster for not only the owner but for the cats as well. Best wishes.

Brimstone Halo, I was just trying to give you an alternative to the high priced cat food. Humans also eat by-products in forms of some food, plus more additives than I care to think about but we manage to survive. I suggested Purina One because this company has a good history of scientific research on pets and I find the my pets do very well on it. I am on a budget, therefore I read up on what is best for them with my income. By the way, one of my cats lived to be 19 years of age, I rescued her at 6 1/2 years old. Others lived to 18 years. How fortunate that you have enjoyed and loved this one for 23 years. Again the best to you.

JUST DON'T FEED THEM MEOW MIX

It's cheap and cats usually like it but my cat almost died because of it.

You are a cat lover. I have 3 and that gets expensive for us...maybe you could check out your local grocery stores and see if they could donate any old food or broken bags of cat food too help. I wish you all the best.
