Tough love doesn't work. I have taken away all there is to take from him, without it becoming child abuse. And I can't afford thousands of dollars for a boot camp. Up until this year, he has never been a problem. No big changes have happened and I have talked to the school. I really need some help. He doesn't drink or do drugs. I know this because he rarely leaves the house.

  1. ARMY TRAINING SIR!!!!!!

  2. call a truancy officer - I don't know what they will do to him - but may be it will be enough to make him go to school.

  3. I'm sorry to hear this.  Does he seem depressed to you?  I truly don't know what to say in terms of how to help him out.  Obviously you tried talking to him but maybe you should try a different approach.  I'm not sure yet how to do this.  I suppose taking away the items can some times be a bad thing to do.  In my opinion its a negative reaction.  My little cousin is the same way however he dislikes his mother so much and that is the cause of his behavior.  I don't want to sound like its your fault, however is there anything you're doing or anyone he's around that makes him angry?  This is true to my cousins case and hopefully not for yours however if you know this it could help.  Good luck and sorry I can't be of any more service.

  4. 18th birthday dump everything he owns on the lawn and change the locks.
