  1. how about getting the momma kitty fixed so she stops having kittens? problem solved :~)

  2. keep him away or he will eat the kittens!!

  3. Get him to pay kitten support

  4. Well, even if the one that dislikes the kittens isn't the father, males do not play any role in parenting kittens. Also, sometimes they think the kitten is an intruder cat and may try to attack it. You should keep the kittens away from the male until they begin to run and walk and play. Then, you should maybe try to introduce them. Give them both the same attention, maybe try distracting the male with praise and stuff then let the kittens come by and let him sniff them. This works on dogs lol.. I'm really an experienced cat owner but i watch some dog training shows.. anyway.. this is all the advice i can give sorry.

  5. Sorry, I'm confused - which is the dad?

  6. Male cats do not like kittens too much. Treat it like they are new cats to the house and keep the boy cats and the kittens separated.

  7. You'll have to be VERY careful to keep him away from the kittens as it isn't unusual for another male cat in the 'pride' to kill the cubs (or in this case kittens) of the other cat so as to bring her into oestrus sooner and that he can father the next litter and bring his genes into the next generation (it's all in the Selfish Gene!)

But seriously, keep the male away from the kitten at all costs. There's not a lot you can do other than that, he might be a lovely cat and I'm sure he is, but you can not and should not, trust him around the kittens.

He's your baby I'm sure, but at the end of the day he's an animal and just following his instincts. You can't change his behavour (it's too dangerous for the kittens to even try) but you can keep them apart. It's all you can do I'm afraid!

Congratulations and good luck kitten-grandma! ;)
