I have 2 15s but when i pop my trunk it hits harder what should i do

this happens when the box is facing forwards. the waves that go to the back of the trunk or out of phase with the others when the meet in front of the box...cancelling each other out. when you pop the trunk and it gets louder, your allowing the back waves to escape and there is no cancellation. face the box towards the back of the car and see if that helps. (i usually tell people to face it forwards and if it is louder when you open the trunk then trun it around.)

ok .. the trunk is sealed and it is making  back pressure . if you have a space behind the rear seat and glass remove the board and put in some mesh covered with a speaker grill cloth so the sound and pressure is released in to the passenger area. speakers need to be able to breathe..it is all about moving air  in which sound wave ride...

Im not the best with car audio, but I have 2 12" kicker L7's in a ported box, and theyre in there like they should be, not inverted, and the port and subs are facing the back of the car,

so the other day i decided to flip the subs inside out, and they sounded about the same, and looked way better, but then my friend suggested i flip the box around so everythings pointing towards the back of the seat, and it made the subs sound like they were blown, but for you, i would put the subs in as usual, not inverted, and just try messing around with the box, position it in different ways.

Mine lose a ton of vol. when i pop the trunk, ive never heard of them getting louder. Maybe port your box bigger?

okay every car and truck is unique like people. you just have to try every position till you think its the best. but if its a trunk usually the best for hearing it in and out of the car better is facing away from the driver. if you want to feel it more just in the car then face it towards the driver.
