  1. I just noticed KICKER rates the zx1500.1 as 1500watts @2 ohms and only 750watts @ 4 ohms so I had to edit the numbers in this answer.Sorry my mistake, Kicker use to list the 4ohm rating.

Here is a link that shows all the ways you can wire those woofers. Yes you can wire them for 4 ohms. I posted a link to Rockford Fosgates woofer wiring wizard, it will show you All the different ways to wire subs. The first link shows you how to wire a dual 2ohm woofer to 4ohms final impedance.

Definition of ohm: The ohm is the electric resistance between two points of a conductor when a constant potential difference of 1 volt, applied to these points, produces in the conductor a current of 1 ampere, the conductor not being the seat of any electromotive force.[1]

So to put it simple, woofers wired for a final resistance of 2ohms will require half as much power to do the same amount of work as a woofer wired for 4ohms. The amps you have make 750x1(each) and the 15" L7s can handle 1000 watts each, so your amps are a little bit too small....But had you purchased dual 4 ohm woofers they could have been wired for a final resistance of 2ohms and your amps would be more than enough.

The confusing part is that a 2ohm DVC woofer can be wired for a final resistance of 1ohm if the voice coils are wired in "parallel" OR 4 ohms if the coils are wired in "series". A 4ohm DVC can be wired for a final resistance of 2ohms if the voice coils are wired in parallel OR 8ohms if the coils are wired series.

Try the Rockford Woofer Wizard Wiring tool, it will make more sence once you see the diagrams.

The other method listed below will also work but it is a mono setup, you would not have seperate left and right channels. I posted another link that shows all the methods of wiring 2ohm DVC for  mono. The second diagram shows how to wire two 2ohm DVCs for a final resistance of 2 ohms. One amp can produce 1500watts x1 @ 2ohms and if you wire the two woofers in "series\paralle" for a final resistance of 2ohms the pair can handle 2000 watts total. So the only advantage to the mono method is that you could use just one amp but it will work twice as hard.

Either method you are about 500 watts short and the only fix would be to exchange the 2ohm DVC woofers for some 4ohm DVCs. It will still soud good but the woofers could handle a little more.

  2. use both subs and only one amp and it will work great and bang like h**l. wire the subs in series then parallel to the amp
