I have 2 bulged out lower back disks,On a treadmill 5 days I'm doing 1 Hr @4.5kn Is this good for me? ?

Yes, doctor and physiotherapist suggested to go on the treadmill.I am very scared. I cannot swim,

I miss my excersize.

  1. I do not believe that a treadmill can be good for you at all.  Non weight bearing activity would be better.  Swimming as suggested by BlaineF is best.

    What advice has your doctor given you, I cannot believe he/she suggested a treadmill, gentle walking yes but treadmill no and also what of the trainer at the gym - are they aware of your problem, if not they can give you good advice.


  2. No take up swimming. Stay off of bikes also. Same problem and gonna need surgery soon. It sucks out loud.

  3. You do not state your age, younger you are the better chance of the disc repairing itself. Likewise you do not state the Discs, L or S?

    As for not being able to swim, try Aqua Jogging, you do not need to swim for this. Best of Luck
