I have 2 children, 2 and 6 yrs old. I am looking for a water park besides 6 Flags in IL or MO, any thoughts?

I have been to Six Flags already this year and didn't take my youngest because there wasn't much for her to do. I am really wanting to find something that will entertain them both. Any suggestions would be helpful. I have done some research but want feedback from anyone who has been to a good water/amusement park. Thanks!

your kinda far away but try this as a fun vacation trip.

Sesame Place. in PA.

It's a perfect place to take children of the ages you mentioned. Theres tons of water rides and a wave pool. but you can also go on the dry rides as well, which is the roller coaster,carosel and much more.

Your 2 year old would really enjoy twiddle bug land inside the park because theres many activity's for her to enjoy. water pools, fountains, you name it.  This section is specially made with things the little ones can fit in.

Theres also 3 indoor shows that are free with admission to the park and three different resturants to feed the kids when they get hungry.  Including one where you can dine with all your favorite characters from Sesame street!

** Oh, i almost forgot the parade down main street everyday at 2:00.Kids go crazy when they see elmo and big bird on the floats. You can even sign your kids up to ride on the floats with some of the characters.

Admission to the park is $49.50 (that's plus tax)

but its free for kids 2 and under.

There is also a 2- day pass program where you pay one days worth of admission for your family and get two days of fun!

There are also three hotels located right near the park within walking distance. Or a shuttle can drive you.

**a little tip

if you decide to go...plan to go during the week, you have a much better chance at not having to wait in line for anything.  

And theres better deals on souvenirs and food.

go to texas and go to hawiian falls its awesome! they have water rides for all types of ages. i went there and i took my kids and they said that it was the best place ever!trust me

Go to Wisconsin Dells. Go to Magic Waters Water Park in Rockford,Illinois.There's a waterpark in Merriville,Indiana.Disney World of Orlando Florida has water parks.

Go to the Seseme Street Park i am sure your children will love it i am 100% sure don't take my word for it try it your self.

Great Wolf Lodge.  There's one in Ohio and another I think in Kansas City.  Been to the one in Niagara Falls a few times......its great for kids

It's obviously not in IL or MO, but Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach in Walt Disney World are good for little ones, and big kids like yourself.  They have miniature water slides for the 6-year-old, and other things as well.
