I have 2 children age 5 and 8 months looking for a recommendable family friendly holiday abroad.?

We are 2 couples and 2 children who are looking for a family friendly resort abroad. Please can anyone recommend a resort or destination that would be suitable, We are looking to go on holiday next September when the weather is generally cooler abroad Many thanks

this may sound a little obtuse but have you considered the stress that flying - going to the airport, waiting, delays etc - puts on young children (also carbon footprint). i would advise staying in the UK and splashing out on a oe of the more 'luxury family places e.g. Centre Parcs.  If you absolutely MUST leave the country then Croatia and Italy are v child friendly countries, ditto rural France and all of the Netherlands (i have never encountered such a child-centred country - amazing).  PLus you can sail and drive to much of Europe.  However, if you are simply looking for balmy sunshine then the canary islands come highly recommended.  i would not recommend Disney for any small children, they become over-wrought and / or scared.  holidays are for all to have fun and relax - disney offers no relaxation opportunities

PS.  i would advise waiting until half term as you really should not take your 5 year old out of school - sorry to be preachy but these are vital times.

What is your home country? If you are from the US then I can list some places we have been abroad. But I don't know where you are from! I will add more later if you mention it.

Calan Bosch in Menorca is good for families, we have been there twice and may go again next year.
