  1. Take the nest away(if theres one).

  2. the only way is to separate them sorry there's no other way i know off ask a vet if there something you can do

you have to separate them but keep them in the same room so they don't get lonely

  3. put them in separate cages

  4. go to the vet and get them fixed or sell them becuse i know a lot of kid that want baby birds

  5. There's nothing you can do to prevent egg laying, but if you don't want them to breed the only thing you can do is separate the male and female.  Cutting down on the light will not keep them from breeding, and may have an adverse effect on the feather quality.  Please read my profile..

  6. I would regret buying cockatiels too.

    Are they different genders?

You can prevent breeding by cutting down daylight hours.  Cover the cage early in the evening and uncover late in the morning.  Do not give them a nest box and limit the abundance of food.

If they lay eggs on the wire floor - leave them for a week and then throw them away. Be sure they have a fresh cuttle bone.

  7. You have a few options here. You can either completely separate the 2 birds. Or leave them in the same cage, but accept you're going to still get eggs, you just don't have to let them hatch.

If you'd like to leave the birds together, do not provide any nests or nesting material. If, or rather when, the female lays again you can simply stop the eggs from ever starting to develop in a number of ways.

Picking up the egg and shaking it a few good times will stop any development from starting. You can also freeze the eggs, or boil them. Or simply buy fake ones. If you do this in the first day or 2, there's nothing really going on yet in the egg, so you're not "killing a chick".

You don't want to just take the eggs away however. The hen will continue to lay more to replace the "lost" eggs, which can lead to all sorts of health issues and even death if it's allowed to go on long enough.
