  1. Platys will breed no matter what as long as you have at least a pair they will breed.  The tank is big enough but once there are loads of babies (they will just keep on breeding) you will need to put them else where.

Platys will eat their fry if they get the chance so make sure there are plenty of hiding spaces for them in live plants and ornaments.

Unless you get special fry food just crush up normal food you give to the parents.

Females are nearly ready to give birth when you look by the stump of the tail and you can see black dots or darker coloured dots.

The female will also spend a lot of the time near the top of the water.

From experience they usually give birth during the night as she is not being watched, so be sure to check when she looks slimmer.

hope this helps and good luck

  2. It's big enough or the three, and just leave them together.  They've probably already mated, and you can expect fry about 28 days after the females have been in contact with a male.

However, a female platy can have up to 50 fry, so the tank won't be large enough for long.  You might try placing some Java fern in the tank to help protect the fry, but with 50 fry per female every month, you don't want to keep all the fry, so just let nature take it's course.  Platies will eat their young.

  3. you put them all in the same tank and they just do it and have babies on their own.

&& buy a breeding net..and when she has babies catch them and put the babies in the breeding net so they dont get eaten.

[cuz fish eat their own babiess!!!]

  4. u leave them alone thats all
