Sell them on on ebay, or advertise them on Craigslist or backpage.com.

Usually you can not trade in your gift certificates for money at the mall.

You could try your friends/family and see if anyone wants to buy them off you.

Or, you could buy something small at the mall and then get the rest back in cash (warning: sometimes they will give you back the remainder of the gift card in gift certificates rather than cash).

Call the stores if they are store certificates or call the mall concierge if they are for any store in the mall. If  you can't put them up on ebay...they bring real close to the face value.
