Also, the nurse who stiched me said to come back 5-7 days. The paper I signed said 3-5 days. I asked about that, they talked and told me 5 days. It seemed like they didn't know so went in between the times.

After 2 days I am healing VERY well. The stitches are almost getting buried. You can not see the slash really. Should I get them pulled sooner than 5 days since the paper said 3-5? 7 seems very long for as fast as I am healing. I do not want them totally submerged and have to have them dig around. Or have them overly healed into my skin.

What should I do?

  1. It all depends. If the outer wound is closed, Thus not seeping and fluids or discharge, yes by all means let it out to breathe during the day, especially on sunny warm days. the U.V. given off by certain light actually help heal external wounds and killing nasty bacteria. Oh, but I do recommend putting a type of topical ointment on the wound just to ensure cleanliness around the area.
