You see my 4 year old was very easy to pee train but not p**p train. It took him a little longer. My 2 year old son dosent want to try at all it seems he only wants to go at day care and pee his pants at home and i dont' know why.

  1. That's how it happened for me.  My oldest, who is 8 now, potty trained the month she turned 3.  I said potty, so she did.  Simple as that.

My youngest though, who's 4, just potty trained at the beginning of this year.  She had no interest.  I tried so many things.  Her pedi told me not to push it (because she would literally shut down when I made a fuss about it).  He said forcing her could cause problems later with bed-wetting and accidents.  She potty trained in about a week, her pre-k teacher was very helpful and encouraging...I couldn't have done it without her!

Just be patient.  Each child is different.

  2. You waited him to turn 2? I potty trained all my kids when they started walking (no later then their first birthday).

  3. well this very easy it is for attention as he want to still be a baby it is easy for him just be paitent with him and give attition to older son for being a good boy in the bathroom work a treat try i and see good luck

  4. I don't know why you are having trouble, but it does sound like an attention getter to me. My first son trained his younger brother and cousin. They had pee races. Also, contests to see who could sink the most Cheerios.

  5. Well...he probably want to be the "baby" at home, but knows he can't at Day Care....so try to find a way to help him "want" to do the right thing.

You need an incentive that will motivate him....it could be a reward everytime he goes when he should....it can be a system where he loses a star on a chart....when he wets his pants....something he wants to earn...like a trip somewhere...it should not be too long term...it needs to be reachable.

He is mostly just using this on you.....kids really want to be home with Mom, and this is his way of being the little kid with you.  Show him attention too....daycare or not, kids need time with Mom...both of them.  But whatever you do...don't compare kids...each child is different....and it  could do harm.
