  1. keep em in some airy cage, have its base covered wid a thick layer of straw, keep  clean, feed em well n  one thing more; They wanna little warm...

  2. As long as you provide trees for them (only native trees though) the female will make her own nest.

Provide plenty of fresh green food at this time (spinach broccoli, fresh corn, multigrain bread, snow peas etc, you should have this available all year round though, have a nest box for them to roost, incubation period is approx 26 days (time 1st egg is laid) she may lay between 3 and 5 eggs.

she will sit on the eggs for the duration of the incubation, but will leave from time to time, the male will leave the nest box, forage for food go back and regurgitate to the female.

They will do everything for themselves, just provide a nutritious diet, warmth and sunlight, plenty of room, native trees to make a nest, and hopefully the rest will fall into place.

Remember your birds need worming every 3 months, avitrol plus is a good brand and also vetafarm wormenda plus.

Just remember to always keep food and water dishes clean daily, birds will pick up disease from lack of hygiene.

  3. they will start out as eggs first!!!

  4. Make sure they're on a good diet of pellets, seeds, fresh fruits/veggies, and sprouts.  Get a calcium block so the female can get some calcium, she will need it for the eggs.  A nest box is nice too, though they will still lay eggs without the nest box.  Keep in mind though, they don't always lay fertile eggs even if they're mating.

  5. just make sure they have a nesting box and plenty of food and water

give them a sourse of calcium because the mom will need it!  ^_^

  6. Consult a vet
