I have a male maine coon (3.5 months) and a male part himalayan (4 months old) and I am thinking of getting another kitten (probably a ragdoll).

My two male cats get along very well and if I get another kitten can I get a female this time or should I stick with a male?

  1. Multiple male cats in a household increase the chances that your cats will spray in your home (to mark their territory).  I personally would not have more than two males, and then only if they have been together since very young.

  2. i have one female and one male and they are both fixed but my male is always bugging my female and they fight a lot so i would get a male

  3. A female cat is called a queen i suggest if you don't want any more cats to get pregnant stick with the 2 tom cats that's a male cat then get them doc-ted and get rid of the female and the kittens,

  4. you should get a male unless you wat kittens

  5. That's great that you're a responsible person and will be getting them all fixed!

But there is always the potential with territory issues (even with fixed cats) when you have too many of the same s*x.  It's rare, but it does happen.  You'll be much safer if the third kitten is a female, as she will be less of a territory threat to the two males.  Enjoy your new kitten when you get her!

  6. You might want to get another male cat because they might try to mate with her even if you get her fixed. Hope this helped!

  7. your female kitten would be pregnant than. If u want more kittens than get a female..

    Otherwise get a male.
