  1. Hello.

    If you already have one male and one female , then why add another one ? If you want to breed colony ( several pairs in a big flight cage or aviary ) then they don't do well with parakeets . Parakeets males have known for traitors .They will go to every other females and they will never help their own  females to feed the babies and such . I never see any one breeding colony in parakeets and succeeded .I breed parakeets :one pair is in one cage and they do just great ( each clutch has 7 babies every other month and I have to stop them ) . So please , do not create the problem and it may hurt the birds . TM.

  3. PLEASE do not add another male. The males will kill each other literally. Males are very territorial so if you get another male and have only one girl they will fight each other...not let each other eat..pluck each others feathers etc. Adding another female will not only help balance the tension in the cage but it will also keep the male very happy lol ^_^.
