  1. If something goes wrong and the parents either can't or won't, then yes it is. They are super fragile, and need feedings every few hours... and the feedings are specific with use of formula and a syringe. The temperature of the formula has to be exact too - if too cold, it's bad for them and they won't eat it. If too hot it will burn a hole in their crop.
