I have 2 replace my Crank Position Sensor on my '05 2.5 Nissan Altima? Is it hard to do and where does it go?

  1. I'm not that familiar with nissan 2.5s but generally the CKPS is very easy to access and replace, something like 2 little bolts because it is just a magnetic device therefor does not need to mesh with any moving parts. At least on Chryslers it is.


  2. Most of those are under recall, check with your dealer. They are replacing the cam and crank sensors on many. Location is right side of block(the firewall side), just in front of the bell housing.  

  3. it is right down by the crank, probably right behind the harmonic balancer.
