  1. like juventusdefender said, the impedance of those subs is so high that you will get a higher impedance of 4ohms at the amp and since they are SVC you don't have any wiring options- just one way to hook them up

when you match amps to subs you need to know the RMS wattage, peak/max wattage means nothing at all- The only sub i could find that Fosgate makes that has a peak/max wattage of 400watts had a RMS wattage of 200

so i am going to say any amp that has about 400watts RMS @ 4ohms (800watts RMS @ 2ohms) and is CEA-compliant (which means that it makes or exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion)

here are the top CEA-compliant brands

    Alpine

    Bazooka

    Blaupunkt

    Clarion

    Eclipse

    Infinity

    JBL

    JL Audio

    Kenwood

    Kicker

    MTX

    Pioneer

    Polk Audio

    Rockford Fosgate

    Sony

  2. i agree about feeling sorry man, besides 400 watts PEAK is a joke, that puts ur subs at 150-200 watts rms. ud be better off going to walmart and, never thought id say this and getting some xplods or cheap pioneers, or even lightning audio which is made by rockford fosgate, they rms what you peak and im tlaking cheap like 70 bucks for one sub, and a 1200 watt xplod amp is like 150, theres a whole system thats better than yours for like 300 bucks and without the 8 ohm hassle

  3. i feel kinda sorry for you because two 8 ohm subs limits the wiring capabilities and requires you to get a bigger amp...

i think this is your best option though... http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3777...
