Well if you do not clearly have something to spend it on then don't spend it and put it in a savings account because you can't do a lot with $200 dollars in the investment world except look into certificates of deposit. You should read Personal Finance for Dummies by Eric Tyson. Its a great book

  3. $200 won't even get you into a CD at most banks.  You can buy US savings bonds.  

    Do you have any debt to pay down?  That can't hurt.
