I have 200 gallon freshwatter tank ,it's clowdy green ,and I do watter changes and filter changes weekly ? ?

Please Help , 2 oscars and 2 other fish in same family , plcostmas , do I need a bottom feeder ?

  3. Green water is usually caused by too much light.

    If it's near a window, shade the tank from the natural light. If it's just the tank lights then switch them on for less time.

    The lights are probably designed for growing plants, and you wont have any in an Oscar tank. That means you have no large plants to take up the excess nutrients in the water. Light + nutrients = Algae

    The fish dont need the tank lights at all, they can live fine with just normal room lights, so just turn on the ligths when you want to watch the fish.

    Keep up the water changes, that helps as well by reducing the level of nutrients in the water.

  4. the problem u have is algae and u just need tablets or liquid to clear it which u can find it at a pet store
