  1. Four door or two?, If four you should be able to swap the switches to see if that is the problem. When you press the up switch do you hear the motor trying to raise the window, if so the motor and or cable assembly could be stripped. If you cannot hear the motor then chances are you are looking at a switch, power or ground issue.

  2. I had this problem in my '99 F-150. I had to take the interior door panel off,and bang on the motor with something hard, like a plastic screwdriver handle. Seems there was a bad contact or dirty connection inside the motor. I ended up replacing it cause it drove me crazy after awhile.

  3. Don't grab it with a pair of needle nose pliers like I did. The only thing that might work is to take the door panel off and try to push it up by hand. Could be the switch but most likely it is the motor. The motors are around $75 and a body shop can replace it for you. You can do it yourself also.

  4. The motor have plastic gear that drive the motor up and down.  The gear is stripped, you can order replacement gear from Ford "stealership" or your local parts stores.  You'll need to be mechanical know how to install it.

    good luck
