Have considered Chapter 13 bankruptcy but to file will cost 3700. Should I just call the company and try and negotiate at a discounted amount and avoid their calls? Any professionals out there who might have some feedback?

  2. I'm 83,000 in credit card debt. If you find out let me know. Since your not that in debt you should try incharge. www.incharge.org It is a non-profit debt management you can fill out an application online. They then take in to account all your bills how much you make and combine that with how much you can afford to pay towards it each month. Hopefully that will help you!

  3. Are you crazy??? I don't mean any disrespect - really, but why put yourself on record for the next 10 years for a lousy $2900????? If you cannot pay it then don't. There is a statute of limitations on such debts - for example in Florida it's 4 years before it becomes unncollectable. If you're the head of household, your wages cannot be garnished either. Under federal law, after 90 days the original creditor has to write the debt off anyway. Then it's sold for Pennies on the Dollar to collectors. Change your phone number because many collectors will ignore cease and desist notices, and make sure that nothing of value is under your name. Most importantly..... it's only $2900, so why not just pay it?

  4. Consider yourself lucky. 2900 is not bad. just make payments and send a second payment toward the principle. that will bring it down faster

  5. dont ever use credit cards theyre trouble only cash

  6. look up dave ramsey

  7. The answer is simple. I will explain in steps:

    1.  Call your credit card company.

    2. Negotiate a way to pay the card dept. (A great way to pay it is to take money from your checks and give it to your dept each month.)

    Hope I helped =]

    * And stay away from credit cards, they are a huge problem because of what situations they put ppl in, like what they did to you*

  8. send monthly payments of 3 times the minimum due. or did you wait too long & now they want it all? $2900.00 is chump change, my credit cards are over $8000.00, I pay 2 times minimum. the whole key to paying it off is DON'T USE IT JUST PAY IT!
