I have 3, 4 month old pygmy goats that are very noisey. What can I do to quiet them up some?

  1. well it depends on when you got them,

    if it was only a little while ago then once they get used to their surroundings (2-4 days) they will quiet down

    but young goats are kinda loud anyway lol when they are older they will be less noisy:)

If these are bottle fed babies, they will be noisy, always wanting to be with you.  They are probably missing their herd and wanting more attention.  These goats were probably just weaned and just need time to get accustomed to their surroundings.  Make sure they are eating the food you are feeding and that they always have fresh hay and water available.  Make sure they have a safe house to get in if needed and try to spend some time mornings and evenings with them, brushing them, talking to them.  Sometimes a radio with soothing music helps calm them down.

  4. Give them something to do, put a ball inside the inclousure and let them bat it around. Put a cut log on something where the can get off the ground and play "king of the mountain". Good Luck!!!!!!!!
