your advice below is awesome and I will most definetly take that in. Additionally, do I need to get a screen play patened? What's stoping them from taking my idea and running.... assuming i even get a foot in the door.

Thanks

  1. This  is  just  one - side  answer  ( aggressive  approach )  ;  I  believe  that  you  can  imagine  about  other  sides  by  yourself .

    It  is  normal  that  success  brand  owners  are  proud  of  their  organization  and  believe  that  thier  marketing  ideas  are  simply  the  best .  In  this  case ,  attack  to  their  hidden  fear(s)  >>  e.g.

    What  if  . . . .  These  ideas  go  to  their  competitors  ;

    What  if  . . . .  You  start  your  own  commercial  activities ,  build  up  your  brand ,  and  become  one  of  their  competitors  ;

    What  if  . . . .  You  directly  announce  to  public  that  you  have  ideas  for  them ,  but  they  ignore  and  describe  your  ideas  as  ( Too  Simple ,  Not  Practical ,  None  of  their  interest ,  etc. )  ;

    What  if  . . . .

    What  if  . . . .

    Do  not  ask  for  their  attentions  or  ask  for  appointments .

    Make  them  think  that  they  " need  to "  listen  to  your  ideas .  Then  you  will  be  able  to  start  your  interaction  with  them  at  preferable  situations .

    You  do  not  need  Good  Lucks ,  I  do  believe  that  you  really  got  good  ideas  to  success .

  2. If you are saying you have three ideas for commercials, forget it.  Your ideas have no value.  Neither the advertiser nor the agency wants to hear them -- they know they might have the same ideas already in product and fear you would take legal action if you show them your ideas.

    Here's the main problem.  You don't understand their commercial objectives.  An idea for a commercial comes only after long discussions of marketing and advertising objectives.  You don't know the intended brand position, you don't know future plans for the brand, you don't know the important copy points.  Trying to tell some one at and ad agency that you have "idea" will only signal that you have no idea about the advertising process -- and it is that, a process.  If you want to write advertising, and you think you have talent then you should develop a portfolio and interview at an agency for a job.  Become part of the process.  Your portfolio will highlight what ever is the skill you bring: art, video or writing.  You will have to show a deep understanding of your skill area and some understanding of marketing and human communication.
