I only have 3 questions left (finally) and have no clue how to do them?

I've tried to do them so many times...

1. solve equation...x+6 over 4 = -4x over 16

2. solve inequality and graph solution on number line... -5x=-3>2(3+x)

3.solve for y...(y+1) over 2 =-8x

If you can explain how you did it that would be great!! I am having a test on it.

they gave us the answers but I don't know how to get to the answers

1. x=-3

2. x<-5/11

3. y= -16x-1

I really need help!!!

  1. For the first one all you have to do is cross multiply, what you will have once you set it up and cross multiply is 16(X+6) = -16X

Which once factored out will be 16X+96 = -16X

Now you want to combine the common variables by subtracting the 16X on the left side so now you have 96=-36X and since you want to get the x by itself to solve for it you divide out the -36 thus leaving you with X=-3
