1.Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Dual Core Processor(3.16GHz, 6MB Cache, 1333MHz)

2.Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Dual Core Processor(2.66GHz, 4MB Cache, 1333MHz)

3.Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 Dual Core Processor (3.0GHz,4MB Cache,1333MHz)

i dperatly neef t know which processor is best and why. any help i wouldbe deeply greatful.

finally.

  1. just do the 1.Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Dual Core Processor(3.16GHz, 6MB Cache, 1333MHz)

  2. The Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 Dual Core Processor(3.16GHz, 6MB Cache, 1333MHz) is best. It has a faster core clock, and more cache.

You can learn about processors here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CPU

  3. The E8500 is best.  Ghz is short for gigahertz, which is a measure of speed for processors.  When comparing processors of the same type (for example, core 2 duo), the one with highest clock speed (highest ghz number) will usually perform best.  Mhz is short for megahertz.  One ghz is 1000 mhz.  One mhz is 1000 khz. One khz is 1000 hz.  It's standard metric prefixes (giga, mega, kilo)

Cache (more precisely L2 Cache) is essentially a buffer for commands sent to your processor.  It's very near to the actual processor (on the same physical board) so it's faster to read from the L2 cache than the memory (those big sticks on the other side of the motherboard).  The larger the L2 cache, the faster a CPU will be able to perform large tasks like running algorithms for encoding files, etc.

  4. The E8500 is by far the best. Its 45nm instead of 65nm like the other to which means it cooler and more energy efficient while still being faster.
