I have 3 sisters who dont look like me, they all have hazel eyes and dark brown/black hair including my mom and dad, I somehow have green eyes and light brown/blonde hair. is this possible? My sisters are my blood sisters. if so, why, whats the genetic reason?

  1. Well, what I learned in biology was that you get specific genes from your parents, like you would inherit your mother's eyes or your fathers nose, but i chose not to believe this statement because i am a mixed child, but the statement is true in most people, but i don't look more like either of my parents. I have a mix of their skin tone, and even of their eye colors (brown and blue giving me this hazel thing). you could just be a genetic mix of your parents.

I'm sorry i don't have a source to back me up.

  2. One or both of your parents had an ancestor that had green eyes and the gene came back to you. Just because your siblings and your parents have hazel eyes that doesn't mean you would have the same.  Hazel is a mixture of two or more colors usually green and brown. So one of your ancestors had green eyes and you inherited the direct color form them.
