I had to seperate one of my male and female zebra finches from the big cage because he kept picking on the other male and that zebra finch hardly has any feathers left, and that same bully male zebra finch would not let any of the 3 society finches in any of the 3 nest I have in the cage he would literally go in and pull them out so thats why I seperated him and a female for him from that cage......but when the egg laying starts will the other 2 zebra finches left in the big cage give my society finches problems? May seem like a silly question but I would love feed back.

  1. I would try to separate them because the birds will get more aggressive of their mate and eggs.  I would give a pair per cage. If you could get a breeder's cage that comes with a nest box that would be great.

  2. I'd keep them seperate if you can, i had the same problem.
