I have 3 tickets in my record that i didnt pay, is that bad?

well i been having this 3 tickets since i was 17, now im 19 and i didnt pay, cause i didnt have the money. now i wanna get my license and my car, but i dont know if they going to take me to jail for not paying.

and if i go to jail. do ya think im going to stay there for a long time?

i been in jail once, for the same reason, but i got out the next day. but i dont know if this is going to happen again cause this is my second time.

help please

  1. Well your license is probably suspended.  So you would have to by your tickets to get a valid drivers license.

You won't be able to get your license until you take care of the tickets in TX.  You could be taken to jail if you don't but for probably no longer than a few days.  Counties don't like to spend a lot of money housing bad drivers!  If you can't afford to pay the tickets, most judges will let you perform community service instead.

  3. If you did not pay the judge issued a bench warrant.  

    You will go to jail.

    So you just added anywhere from 200.00 dollars and up to each ticket.

    The county may have or the city may have an amnesty day each year. amnesty day is a no fault event where the judge drops the cost of bench warrant and you pay the tickets as if you just got them.

    Now on the other hand you were a minor when you received the tickets, so if you were to go to a juvenile court judge/ family court and turn your self in you might only have to pay the original fine.
